Welcome To Bellhouse Road WMC

Friday Night's Rock Night!

News!

31-01-2010

Unfortunately the Psychic night that was to be on Monday the 1st of February has had to be re-scheduled to Monday the 22nd of February 2010.  Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

20-01-2010

Firstly, happy new year to members new and old and everyone who has visited the club over the past year.

Unfortunately, as most of you will know, the club's president, Eric, sadly passed away recently. We are sure he will be missed by everyone and our thoughts go out to his many friends and family.

In other Bellhouse news, tickets are now on sale for the Help for Heroes charity night on Thursday 28th January, priced at £5. Please contact the club direct for tickets. It looks set to be a brilliant night and will feature Coyote, Stagefright and due to Vamp being unable to make it, a special Bellhouse band will get together for one night only featuring plenty of members from bands you will all know such as Rock Legacy, Top Gun and Guitar Heroes (amongst others!).

Lastly, if you have any Bellhouse news you would like to go on the website, please email me on carlwragg89@hotmail.com and I will do my best to get it up for you. (this is due to me not being able to attend the club as often as I used to go to get the information).

The club is excited to announce that we will be hosting a special charity night in aid of Help for Heroes on Thursday 28th January 2010. Kick off will be at 8pm and will feature an awesome lineup of Coyote, Vamp and Stagefright. A big thank you also has to go out to Top Gun who will be supplying the PA for the night. A host of surprises and special guests are expected and there will also be a raffle so come along for a brilliant night and raise some serious cash for a great cause.

Tickets, priced at £5 will be available from the club from late December. We will keep you posted on the details.

Last night, the club rocked to the excellent Infinity, who stood in for Stagefright who unfortunately had to cancel due to an injured guitarist (get well soon John!). The club was also paid a visit by local music photographer Damian Twigg who captured some excellent shots of the band. The shots can be seen on his website here and one of the pictures is featured below. If your band wishes to get some great photos taken at your Bellhouse gig, get in touch with Damian via his website and see what he can offer.

A great month of entertainment awaits you as always for May (full gig listings to be announced shortly). One thing to take particular note of is the inclusion of 2 major tribute bands.

The first being Floyd 2 who bring their epic Pink Floyd tribute show to the club on Saturday 16th May, whilst the excellent Essential Journey make their Bellhouse debut on Sunday 24th May (no work Monday coz it's Bank Holiday!) for all you Journey fans. We can't wait for these gigs and look forward to seeing you there!

Remember, Bellhouse never charges entry for it's gigs, so you can enjoy the entertainment... and spend the savings on extra beer!!

08-03-2009

The next Fiver Fever Bingo night will take place at the club on the 13th April 2009.

£5 for 10 games of bingo with the last game guarenteed to pay at least £100.

Prize also available for the best Easter bonnet.

Please note a change to this months Gig Guide - Top Gun will now be appearing on Friday 23rd January whilst Guns n Oatcakes will be filling in on the 16th!

17-09-2008

Please note a change of band for this coming Friday - due to unforseen circumstances, Twin Lizzy have had to put their gig back to October, but the excellent Black Pearl will now be filling in for them this week.

28-06-2008

Keep an eye on the Gig Guide for details of welcome returns for some big names on the rock circuit... including the likes of Jagged Edge and Guns n Oatcakes (who reformed again recently!).

Don't forget, the committee wants to hear from you about the acts we put on - if you want a particular act, let us know!

Meet Bellhouse' Rock Idol!!

A couple of weeks ago, Bellhouse played host once again to the awesome ROCK LEGACY. The gig also coincided with the birthday celebrations for club regular and top rock fan Steve who enjoyed celebrating his 18th birthday for the 32nd year in a row! What a way to celebrate your birthday the night became... the band invited him up to sing and take the frontman position on one of his favorite songs, Sweet Child o Mine, and he performed a belter, gaining a standing ovation from the audience.

Rock on Steve, happy birthday mate!

Check out these photos from the night!

Due to unforseen circumstances, FRITENITE will be unable to perform tonight and tomorow (new years eve). We apologise for the short notice. Their replacements will be taken care of by the brilliant lively 3-piece girl group SISTERMATIK tonight, whilst New Years Eve sees the awesome WHIZZ KID return to the club.

From all the staff and committee, have a great New Year and we'll see you in 2008!

11-10-2007

A few changes have taken place with the committee at the club recently, and we now have a new concert secretary, Neil, who will be making all the bookings for the club. Friday rock nights WILL still be continuing as they have for the past 18 months, so dont worry about that!

Neil isn't available online so if you want to make enquiries about playing the club etc. please send them to me via carl@bellhousewmc.co.uk , with a contact phone number, and i will pass it on.

If you believe your band is booked at the club but aren't sure about whether it has been confirmed (this mainly applies to bands without an agent, such as most of the ROTN associated bands), please get in touch with the Alan Wood Agency or call in the club and ask for Neil (concert secretary).

29-08-2007

Due to unforseen circumstances, Freshly Squeezed (formerly 2 Lyons) will now appear at the club this Saturday instead of The Tourettes, and Billy Black band will now be playing on Friday 28th September instead of Meltdown.

13-08-2007

The club has seen some great entertainment over the past month, both on the Rock Nights and pleasing the Saturday/Sunday crowds. The rest of August and September's dates are available on the Gig Guide, and with some old and new favorites making appearances at the club, it looks like we're all in for a treat.

Rock fans will be pleased to welcome back Vamp, Guns 'n' Oatcakes, Rock Legacy, 2 Out Of 3, Alcatraz, Twin Lizzy and Meltdown but may also be interested in checking out a few other bands we have on who are gaining great acknowlegement from wherever they play. These include debut's for a few Rock of the North associated bands such as The Rakkiteers, The Tourettes and Red Mosquito as well as a welcome return for Resurgence and True Brit and a debut for Crazy Nights. And don't forget our cracking lineup of Sunday entertainment from the likes of Foxx, Dee Dowling, Big City, Showmaddymaddy, Kanvas, Mens Club and Mad Manners. It really doesnt get much better!

There's one band we've missed off the list and that is Storyteller's Night, who play the club this coming Saturday, the 18th August. The band's gig at the club will be their debut appearance here, as well as the debut gig for none other than ex-Alcatraz drummer, and great friend of the club, Christian Hayes. The band look set for big things and we look forward to welcoming them to Bellhouse. Rock fans and muso's - dont miss!

The club is also pleased to be supporting a special event taking place at Worksop Arena on Bank Holiday Sunday, which features many artists who frequent Bellhouse...

10-07-2007

Many line-up changes have been taking place recently in clubland bands and two major changes are happening within bands that frequent the Bellhouse.

Firstly, after 5 years of service to the mighty Alcatraz, drummer Christian Hayes has decided to call it a day with the band and move onto other things. Christian's last gigs with the band are this weekend (check out their website for details), so unfortunately he won't be making any more appearances at Bellhouse with them. So we wish him all the best with any future musical ventures he has! Also, good luck to Alcatraz in finding a replacement drummer and we'll see you back at the club soon!

Secondly, ace classic rock band Mr Chief have seen 2 members move on to other things. Best of look to guitarist Stevie and bass player Beef for the future! The band are now sticking as a 4-piece and have recruited the talents of Joe Pastrami on the bass. His first gig with the band will be this Friday, the 13th July and we are all looking forward to witnessing the start of this new line-up and new venture for Joe. Good luck and see you on Friday!

We have just added a few new links to our links page, please check them out (Red Mosquito, Clubland Rockers and Diane Parkin's Gig List). If you are in a band or have a club/music related website and would like a link putting up, please email webmaster@bellhousewmc.co.uk with the details and i'll sort it out!

18-06-2007

Well it's been a while but the Bellhouse website seems to be stable and working as it used to. Thanks for your patience during the down-time and also special thanks to Rock of the North and Diane Parkin who continued to publicise our gig guides and keep people up to date with the club.

June has undoubtedly been an excellent month for Bellhouse with some first rate entertainment every weekend. The rock nights have seen the Billy Black Band kick the month off followed by consecutive gigs from the club's favorite two bands - Alcatraz and Rock Legacy. Last Saturday also saw a debut appearance by the young Barnsley band, Kanvas, who proved to be a major success. Friends of the club and excellent AOR band Infinity rocked the club last night whilst comedy favorites Fritenite can be seen again at the club next Sunday (24th). Next weekend also features the debut for top Thin Lizzy tribute band TWIN LIZZY on Friday (not to be missed!!) whereas Saturday we will welcome back the excellent Buzztones.

The site will undergo the final stages of getting everything back to normal within the next few weeks so stay tuned for all the photos etc as well as an update to our links page.

See you all next weekend!
